Seri Mulia Sarjana School Celebrates Career Awareness Day

Seri Mulia Sarjana School organized Career Awareness Days on the 17th and 18th of March at the school premises to expose the students to the vast array of careers that are on offer in the world today and give them an opportunity to broaden their horizons on educational options in Brunei.

The event which began with the recitation of the Surah Al-Fatihah was followed by an opening speech by the Principal Radzuan Abdullah. The Chinese drummers and the school choir added fanfare to the function with their energetic performances. The Chief Executive Officer of Seri Mulia Sarjana School (Dr.) Mary Lim formally launched the event with the sounding of the ‘gong’.

Participating colleges and institutions included the Laksamana College of Business, Cosmopolitan College of Commerce and Technology, Tabung Amanah Islam Brunei (TAIB), IGS College, HRD Services, Focus Computer School and  Jabatan Pendidikan Teknik which consists of seven technical schools: Sultan Saiful Rizal Technical, Jefri Bolkiah, Nakhoda Ragam, Mechanical Training Center and  Sultan Bolkiah.

The representatives of the various institutions briefed the Year 10 and Year 11 students about the different career options and scholarship opportunities available in Brunei and the courses they could select for further studies abroad. This would help students to plan their pre-university courses and consider appropriate subjects in preparation for university; help them to pursue their dream careers and to strive to achieve the best of their potential.
