8 Distinctions at P.M.B. Exam 2008

Eddie Chu Mohd Hariz and Mari Shin Franchezca Raymundo Garcia both scored an amazing eight distinctions for the subjects of Bahasa Melayu, English Language, Mathematics, Science, History, Geography and Computer Studies at the recent PMB Examination 2008. Eddie Chu also scored a distinction for Islamic Knowledge and Mari Shin scored another in Commercial Studies. Begam Juvairiya, Celsea Orenzo, Branden Lee Feng Xu, Lee Jia Xin and Oliver Chan Yau Ching Mun scored 5 distinctions; Nur Amirah Ariffin, Tang Wei Kai, Anand Praksh Raj, Umaira Zainal Ardi, Alina Pauly scored six distinction; whereas Syed Mohammed Sakkeer Husain, How Jing Yuan and Stella Tang Ying Ting scored seven distinctions respectively. The school registered a total of 141 candidates, including the Express class for the PMB Examination. Considering the school has a large population of children from the expatriate community, the pass rate of Bahasa Melayu, which is a compulsory subject for all candidates, is high at 89%. Many children from the expatriate community expressed their disappointment for getting an overall 'Fail' grade for their PMB Exam eventhough they scored good grades in other learning subjects. Although they had tried their best to learn and grasp the foreign language over a short period of time, they felt very sad and at a disadvantage for being unable to score a good credit in Bahasa Melayu, which inevitably also influenced the overall school ranking status in the examination analysis for private schools. The School also achieved a 100% pass rate for English Language, 98% for Science and Geography, and above 85% for Islamic Knowledge, History, Mathematics and Comeercial Studies subjects. Seri Mulia Sarjana School is proud to have been part of the family for the Year 9 students in achieving excellence at the PMB Examination. THis congratulatory message is also extented to the proud parents and teachers of their untiring support, love, dedication and commitment in giving the trust and support to Seri Mulia Sarjana school all these years.
