The curriculum embraces yet transcends the prescribed curriculum for Brunei secondary schools. The programme is based on the teaching of critical and logical thinking, writing skills, the application of knowledge, examination of values and an appreciation of cultural diversity in a global society. This section caters for Year 7 until Year 11.

At the end of Year 8, all students are required to sit for the School Based Assessment exam held nationwide, after which they will be assigned to Express or Normal streams. In these streams, we offer a wide range of subjects at this level ranging from Languages, Sciences, Art and Design, Business and Commercial Studies, Computer Studies, Islamic Knowledge, , Principles of Accounts, Design and Technology. Every student is given this opportunity to develop areas of their academic strength and interest.

Both the Express and Normal stream culminates in the prestigious and globally recognized General Certificate of Examination under the auspices of Cambridge University in United Kingdom. Many of our students and alumni members have garnered Brilliance Awards, Top in the Brunei and Top in the World, at the GCE ‘O’ Level and GCE ‘A’ Level examination.

The SPN21 or 21st Century National Education System

In Year 7 and Year 8, all students are required to study ten (10) different subjects comprising of four (4) compulsory core subjects, six (6) compulsory complementary subjects inclusive of a choice of one learning module as listed below and an additional language subject comprising of either Arabic, Mandarin or French.

At the end of Year 8, students will sit for the nationwide SBA School Based Assesment exam to ascertain their eligibility to continue their studies either in the Express (2years) stream or the Normal academic stream.
